1. Twisted Box Braid Updo

If you’re looking for a hairstyle that will make your thin hair look thicker and fuller, try the twisted box braid updo. This trendy style works best on medium to long hair, but it can also be done on shorter lengths—you’ll just need a few fewer braids.

To create this look, start by parting your hair in half and then backcombing the top section of each side of your head (the “crown”). Next, take one section of hair from the front that’s equal in thickness all around and braid it down until you reach the crown area where you’ve already backcombed so that it lies flat against your scalp.

When you reach the end of your first braid, secure it with an elastic band before moving on to another section of hair from above where there’s still some volume left over (you don’t want any loose ends falling out). Once again secure with an elastic band at its base once finished braiding then repeat these steps until all sections have been braided into place!

2. Double Dutch French Braid

If you want to wear your hair up, but want to keep the length in the back of your head while adding some volume at the top, this is a great look for you.

Start with a ponytail. You can do this on dry hair or wet (if you have fine thin hair).

Part your hair into two sections, starting from where your ears meet and going straight back toward the nape of your neck. For reference: I parted mine about 1 inch above my earlobe, and I had about 2 inches in between each side.

Braid each section separately until they meet at the back of your head in a Dutch braid crown pattern. Now tie them together with an elastic band—you should now have one long braid coming out from under an elastic band and looping around itself twice before going down towards the front of your face again!

3. French Braid To A Ponytail

If you want to wear your hair up, but don’t want it to look too severe, a French braid can be the perfect solution. This style is also great if you want to give your hair extra volume.

Start by brushing out your hair so that it’s completely smooth and tangle-free. Make sure there are no knots or snarls in the locks of hair at all!

Take a section from where the part would be if you had one (usually about an inch wide) and split this into three equal parts with each finger of one hand–you should now have four strands going in different directions around your head: two on each side and one crossing over them both above them all together at once point where they’re joined together by another strand coming down from above as well!

Braid these strands until they reach just past where they’d usually stop when braided normally (if this means going down below chin length then do so; otherwise try adding some extensions).

4. Top Knot With Braids

To get this look, braid your hair into a ponytail and twist it into a bun. Secure with bobby pins and finish with some texture spray to keep everything in place.

This hairstyle is perfect for days when you want to look polished without much effort!

5. Six Fishtail Braids

To create a six-fishtail braid, you’ll need to start with four sections of hair. One should be from the front and two from each side of your head.

The first step in creating this look is to divide one of your strands into three parts. Then, starting at the top of each section, alternate between crossing over and under until you get to the end. This gives you a basic fishtail braid that can be embellished in many ways depending on what look you’re going for.

For example, if you want your braided hairstyle to appear thicker than it is (which will reduce its appearance), try weaving all of them together so they don’t stick out too much when they’re done drying!

6. Pull Through Braid Hairstyle

Pull-through braids are a great way to add volume to thin hair. They are also easy to do and work on wet or dry hair. You must make sure your hair is clean before you start to braid it because otherwise, the oil in your hair will weigh down the strands and give you a greasy look.

Pull-through braids can be done in one of two ways: by weaving individual sections into an already existing braid or by weaving together small sections of hair at once until they form one long piece of fabric. The latter method creates more volume than the former but takes longer to complete since each strand needs to be separated individually instead of just twisting around itself like with the regular braiding technique (this is why I prefer this method).

7. Braided Headband with Short Hair

The braided headband is a great way to add length and volume to your hairstyle because it creates a thick base for your braid. It also helps keep the braid in place, so you won’t have to worry about any stray hairs falling out of place.

To create this look:

Grab a headband that matches or complements your outfit (and don’t forget about accessories!). You can choose from ribbon printed, plain cotton, or clear elastic bands. If you want something funkier, try one with flowers around the edges!

Next, pull back sections of hair at the top of your head and divide them into three equal sections using an elastic band or clip like we mentioned above while securing them away from the face using another one if necessary.

Now take one section at a time twist each piece around itself until it forms into two locks then secure with either clips or pins if necessary.

8. Faux Bob With Braid

A faux bob is a hairstyle that mimics the look of a short bob, but with more volume and length on top. It’s perfect for thin hair because it gives you the illusion of more volume while still keeping your hair off your face. To create one, start by sectioning out the top sections of your hair so they’re all connected. Then brush them back away from your face and secure each section with bobby pins or clips until they’re all in place. Add some waves or curls if desired by using hairspray and a curling iron!

9. Rope Braids Into A Bun

To do rope braids, begin by sectioning hair into three sections and braid each section from the top to the bottom.

Once you’ve finished braiding all three sections, tie them off with an elastic and secure them at the ends by tucking them under a few times.

Take your now-secure rope braid and wrap it around your head as though you were making a bun (like how you would if you were using two hair sticks instead of this one). Secure this with pins or clips until secure, then finish off with any accessories or other things that make your heart sing!

10. Big Dutch Fishtail Braids

The Dutch fishtail braid is a popular technique for creating big, thick braids. It’s easy to do and looks great on everyone.

Start with an even section of hair that extends from your bang line to the crown of your head. Divide this section into three equal parts (left side, right side, and middle). The middle portion should be slightly longer than the other two sections so that it can be twisted into a tail later on in the process. Now start taking one side and begin braiding it toward the back like you would if you were doing a regular French braid; however, instead of crossing over each time you go under another piece of hair (which creates three separate strands), cross over just once before going under another piece of hair on your next pass down through all three strands at once—so think about it as one large strand being split into thirds as opposed to three individual pieces/strands being braided together independently from one another!

11. Half-Up Crown Braid

This hairstyle is perfect for anyone who wants to create a half-up hairstyle but doesn’t have enough hair to pull it off. Using a rat tail comb, you can create the braid and secure it using a hair tie. If you want to make your braid thicker, you can add some extensions in between each strand of the braid.

12. Side Dutch Braid With Bun

To create this hairstyle, start by taking a 1-inch section of hair from the right side of your head and cross it over to the left. Next, take a 2-inch section of hair from the left side and cross it over to the right. Continue braiding in this manner until you reach your part (if you don’t have much hair on one side, just make sure that you evenly space out your braids so they’re balanced). Once you’ve reached the back of your head, secure it with an elastic band.

To finish off this look, use a curling iron to curl sections of each braid for extra volume before securing them with bobby pins or pins made specifically for holding up Dutch braids (we love these!). If your roots are showing through or if there’s still some downy fuzziness at their ends after taking out said pins/pincushion/turban… You guessed it: flat iron those boys!

If you don’t feel like doing all that work yourself—or if you want something more casual than an actual updo without having any flyaways stick out—try using those same products with loose curls instead! Just remember: when applying any grease-based product directly onto freshly washed locks without conditioning first beforehand.

13. High Braided Ponytail

How to Do a High-Braided Ponytail

  • Brush your hair and pull it back into a ponytail.
  • Divide the ponytail into three sections and braid the bottom two sections together, keeping each one separate from the others.
  • Once you have finished braiding those two strands, take them apart and twist them around each other so that they create one thick strand of hair.
  • Repeat this process with the rest of your hair until all of your strands are twisted together into one large braid at the end of your ponytail.

14. Big Cornrows Into A Bun

Cornrows are a great way to add volume to thin hair. They can be done in a variety of styles, from simple to fancy.

You can do your cornrows at home or have them done by a professional stylist. Cornrowing your hair is an easy fashion statement that will last all week long!

Cornrows are also perfect if you want some style and texture without having to spend hours styling it every morning or night. Cornrow braids are an excellent option for those who want their hair out of their face but still want that chic look they would get from wearing braids traditionally done away from their face.

15. Mohawk With French Braids and Waves

This style is perfect for a night out on the town or an important business meeting. It’s also great because it makes you look taller and slimmer, which are both things we all want to be!

First, brush your hair back into a ponytail at the crown of your head. Next, secure each French braid by wrapping an elastic around it. Once you’ve finished braiding each section of hair tightly with small sections of hair within each braid (think “Z” pattern), use a curling iron (or flat iron) to create waves in those braids by curling them toward their ends before pinning them down.

Don’t be so afraid of braiding your thin hair

Braiding is a great way to style thin hair. It adds volume and texture to your otherwise flat locks, and it’s not just for people with thick or curly hair!

I know that you’re afraid of braids. You think they’ll make your thin strands look even thinner, but don’t worry. There are plenty of styles that won’t make your hair look too thin.

HairCubed offers you a solution for thin hair!!

HairCubed Fibers are the only product in the market that thickens your actual hair rather than just covering up your scalp. Rather than simply spraying, HairCubed is activated by the action of brushing. The more you brush HairCubed fibers, the thicker your natural hair becomes, covering up thinning, fine or balding areas. And unlike other products on the market, HairCubed Fibers are water, moisture, and wind resistant so they won’t come off until you shampoo them out.

After you’ve washed your hair, spray a small amount of HairCubed Fibers (2-3 seconds) and brush thoroughly for 30-40 seconds. The more you brush, the thicker your hair becomes. Once applied, HairCubed Fibers are water-, moisture- and wind-resistant and will not come off until you shampoo them out. A single can of HairCubed Fibers can last an average of 2-5 months
